La Bohème

So... You'll never guess what happened!

I went to Romania for those two weeks, necessary in order to get some paperwork done (don't ask!) and I ended up staying for a month -- and loving every second of it!

Bohemian life? Alive and kicking! Woo-hoo! I stayed up all night, almost every night.  My resistance to alcohol has increased dramatically as a result, but why do I talk about myself again, I'm not important; those terrific filmmakers & friends are!

Only I can't talk about them, not the way I would have wanted to.

Of course I ended up putting on my producer's hat (again!) as an OUTSTANDING script was thrown in my lap, but nobody's perfect. I hope I can convince its author to write more in that vein, and to... nope, I can't talk about it here.

I came back with so much energy! And desire to write and to help others write and produce and whatever has to do with this industry, nay, ART!

The scariest part? The unseen, unspeakable pressure of a school... There is no Romanian school, you're going to argue! Enh... I dunno about that. How come after a month of talking to the people there I began to think in terms of minimalist movies? I have never, ever had any desire to write thusly, and now I am doing just that, thank you very much, and with a feeling that I (eeek!) BELONG?

I need to go to the States and counteract that cultural immersion before I start dreaming of being in Cannes myself! Geez! No way!
